Mr. Maung Oaker Thwin
I have studied at the Edo Cultural Center for less than a half year now, but thanks to the helpful teachers and my cheerful classmates, I am having a great time learning.
Japanese grammar was very difficult for me to learn while I was studying back in my home country, but here at the Center, the teachers are always very supportive and help me to understand whatever I'm having trouble with.
My first impression of Japan was that there were so many rules to follow in society and that the school seemed to be very strict.
However, as my studies have progressed here at the Center, I have begun to realize that such rules are necessary to bring about a better society.
I plan to continue to work even harder on my studies, so that I can receive an advanced education in the electronics equipment field after I graduate from the Edo Cultural Center.
Ms. Lin Yan
When I first arrived in Japan I couldn't speak any Japanese at all, except for maybe "konichi wa," or "konban wa." But now, after a year has passed, my Japanese ability has improved with the help of the teachers at the Edo Cultural Center who teach in a fun, easy-to-understand style.
These days, the amount of difficulties I face in my daily life in Japan have become fewer and fewer as well.
I had previously worked at a Japanese company back in my country, and at that time, I felt the language barrier to be very difficult.
Currently my country is making aggressive attempts towards internationalization and to achieve economic growth, so I am keenly aware of the need for language ability.
Learning 'real' Japanese at the Edo Cultural Center has been a remarkable experience for me, and I am grateful to the Center and all its staff who have helped me to obtain a chance at further education in such a warm and friendly manner.
Mr. Ivanov Amartuvshin
When I first arrived in Japan I couldn't speak Japanese at all, and I was hardly able to communicate with people around me, which was kind of frustrating at times.
But now, I have slowly become able to understand Japanese thanks to the kind, attentive help from the teachers at the Edo Cultural Center.
My conversation ability has improved as well, and this has enabled me to make friends with many people, including foreign students at the School and Japanese people I have met through my music activities.
So as you can see, my life in Japan has become very meaningful now. In the future, I have plans to perform as a musician in many countries around the world and I hope to keep in close contact with the Japanese musicians I have met.
I believe that my experience at the Edo Cultural Center will be very helpful in allowing me to accomplish my plans.
