Formed an academic partnership with the University of California's San Diego Graduate School's International Relations and Pacific Studies.The Edo Cultural Center began to produce its own original textbooks and materials. Also, the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs designated the Center as its official Japanese language school. |

Formed an academic partnership with the Foreign Languages Institute at Korean Foreign Languages University, a prominent university in South Korea and established a Korean language course. |
