The ultimate objective of the Edo Cultural Center is that, through a communicative approach, students will be able to improve their basic conversational ability and eventually be able to express what he or she wants to say correctly in various situations. We also emphasize the importance of proper grammar and a strong vocabulary as well. As the result of such a curriculum, you will find yourself able to interpret the Japanese language in a well-balanced manner and to quickly convey your intended message.

Through our academic partnership with The San Diego School of the University of California, in the U.S., we have developed our own original textbooks which allow you to learn the Japanese language through a scientific approach that is very effective.

| Experienced and reliable instructors |

Every instructor who teaches at the Edo Cultural Center has been accredited by the Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education, and is fully dedicated to teaching students how to improve their Japanese ability.
Also, you can receive personal counseling (concerning your future course of study or any troubles that may arise during your daily life) which will help you to overcome any obstacles that you may face.
In addition, you will not only learn Japanese language at the Edo Cultural Center, but also Japanese culture and various aspects about Japanese society from an international point of view.

| Teaching system |

We attempt to develop and improve your basic Japanese language skills as well as your knowledge of Japan by emphasizing communication skills and by making sure that you improve upon 4 key abilities - reading, writing, listening, and speaking - in a well-balanced manner.
As a member of the Association of Entry Office, the Edo Cultural Center can offer you detailed information on general residential requirements for living in Japan.
We have been authorized by the Immigration Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, as an Application Agent, and therefore can help you to apply for your visa, its renewal or changes to it - the procedures for which are often very complicated and time-consuming - on your behalf, significantly easing the burden on you.

- You can choose the term that most suits your needs among the four courses which are offered during the year.
- After your level of Japanese ability has been checked, you will be placed in the class that most appropriately matches your level.
- We have incorporated a system of 8 levels of language ability, ranging from "Beginner's level 1" to "Special (Advanced) 2".
- You will have the opportunity of being promoted to the next level after having passed a final exam, which will be given at the end of every 3-month term.
- There are two options available for class schedules; the morning class (9¡§00¡Á12¡§30) or the afternoon class (13¡§30¡Á17¡§00).
